Photographer self Processing

 

Example: 

Photo Shoot done for Real Estate Agent - $150.00 (conservative estimate)

Time at the property - 1hr 

Driving To and From property - 1hr

                   Total time spend... so far - 2 hrs

    ------------------- now it gets interesting --------------------

Time needed to process 25-30 Photographs      -     2.5hrs

Total time spend on Photo Shoot, 

Driving and Processing                                       -     4.5hrs

 

1 Photo Shoot: Total earned - $150.00 for 4.5 hrs worth of work

$150 - 0 = $150 for Photographer (4.5hrs work)

1 Photo Shoot: That’s... $33.00 per hr and 4.5 hrs needed

 

$150 / 4.5hrs = $33.00 per hour

 

2 Shoots - Work 9 hrs and make... $300.00 per day

or

3 Shoots - Work  13.5 hrs... We don’t think you can

 

8 - 10hrs is the most that anyone could and/or should work in a day...

Outsourcing

 

Example:

1 Photo Shoot: That’s... $50.00 per hr and 2 hrs needed 

 

$100 / 2hrs = $50.00 per hour

 

3 Shoots - Work 6 hrs and make... $300.00 per day

or

4 Shoots - Work 8 hrs and make... $400.00 per day

or

5 Shoots - Work 10 hrs and make... $500.00 per day

Based on NORMAL work schedule and working 8 to 10 hrs or less…..:

- Earn over 25% more for your time ($50 rather than $33 per hour)

- Have more Fun at work (Taking Photos and Meeting agents is way better than Post-Processing)

- Have more time to meet new agents and build business relationship with them

- Be able to accommodate/have time for more Photo Shoots and more Agents

- When business slows down… it is much better to have more agents as clients (be more diversified)
